Hi Everyone!
I'm so glad I finally got time to put up a post on my trip to Budapest. If you follow me on Instagram, I'm sure you've seen a couple of pictures that I've already shared of the beautiful city. I travelled over there during my Easter break with my two friends for about four days and had the best time. It was a bit colder than I wanted it to be but for the most of it, the weather was extremely sunny and perfect for sightseeing.

We spent the first day of the trip walking around Buda and underestimated the amount there is to see on that side of the Danube. I sadly didn't take my camera out the next day as it was raining the entire morning and didn't want it to get wet so I didn't get as many pictures as i hoped to. We ended up eating lunch at a Medieval restaurant called Sir Lancelot which serves traditional Hungarian food. Warning to all vegetarians, Hungarian national cuisine is very meaty and there aren't a lot of options to people who don't eat it. We spent the rest of the time on Vaći Street where we did some shopping and went to a few Cafés and Andrassy Avenue with the Opera House. We also climbed up to the top of St. Stephen's Basilica and had the most stunning view over the entire city.

The nightlife in Budapest is amazing as well. The ruin bars and clubs like Szimpla Kert and Instant are completely different from anything I've experienced before. I wish I had nicer pictures that I could've put up but I don't even think those pictures would be able to capture how beautiful the places really are. We stayed in an Airbnb apartment which was right next to the Danube River and so close to everything we wanted to see. I highly recommend using Airbnb cause we had a great host, great apartment and the location was just perfect.

The only problem we had with the entire trip though were the airlines we chose. We decided to fly Wizz Air and from London to Budapest, we didn't have too many problems but on the way back, we almost didn't make our flight cause they kept stopping us and tried to make us pay for anything and everything possible. We honestly had the most horrible time flying with them and would never want to experience it again. x
