Hi Everyone!

It's been exactly a year since I drove through these beautiful mountains and while I wish I was being better about blogging, I'm kinda glad in a way that I waited till now to do the post. The last year has been a crazy one for me, living in a city like New York where there's always so much going on and there's always so many people all around you. This trip was the complete opposite of that and for that reason, it was one of my favourite ones. It was so different than any other trip I had been on in the past and just writing about it made me feel like I was back there again for a minute. This one was mostly just a road trip that went on for a little over a week and it was definitely an amazing one. No exaggeration, there wasn't one moment during the trip where I got bored of the driving or thought it was too much. Even the day we decided to drive for over twelve hours straight. The view you have around is constantly breathtaking and for the majority, it felt like a fantasy. Also, one week without any phone or internet access and not having any connection with the real world is something that I want to experience on a more regular basis. I think the reason I enjoyed this trip so much is cause the only time I would look at my phone was to change the song while I was listening to music. It was a week of calmness and serenity and a type of trip that I definitely want to look forward to doing again in the future.

To give you some details of the trip: we planned the entire trip through Aquaterra, who actually ended up not being the best company to work with as there were a lot of problems that they hadn't figured out for us during the trip. I would just make sure to double check everything and ask them to let you know every detail in advance if you ever work with them. We started off the trip by flying into Chandigarh and spent a night there and then drove to Manali the next day. From Manali we spent five days stopping at different places till we reached Leh. After which we spent two nights in Leh at the Leh Palace and then flew out from there. Just had to mention, the take-off from Leh is one of the most stunning take-offs ever. You end up flying over the Himalayas for majority of the trip and the views from above are just breath-taking.

Last thing I have to say, the pictures don't do the place justice. It's one of places where the beauty of it is really being there experiencing it first-hand. x

Winter Breeze

Top- Zara// Pants- Pretty Little Things // Shoes- Adidas Originals

Hi Everyone!

I have to start off by saying that this outfit is one that I wouldn't actually be able to wear during the worst part of the winter. In fact, I was freezing throughout the entire shoot. During the harshest winter months, I usually just stick to my down jackets, denims and over-the-knee boots since there's nothing else I can wear to make the cold bearable. Everyone warned me that NY winter was more intense than London but I never realised how bad it actually would be. One thing I do like though, is that the seasons here are so intense that you can actually feel a big difference between spring, summer, fall and winter. I've enjoyed it cause I get to dress completely different during each season. Not like I wear a tonne of colour anyways (like in spring and summer) but as can be seen in this outfit, I generally wear monochromatic outfits in the winter.

I'm also still going through my athleisure phase and I don't think I'm coming out of it anytime soon as it's the style of dressing that probably makes me feel the most comfortable. I've been obsessing over cropped sweatshirts but I have to say that this one is definitely my favourite! It's so comfortable and I literally wear it everywhere. I also love these popper trousers cause you can decide to leave them open or button them all the way to ground based on the occasion/your mood. Coming the accessories, I kept it super basic as always by wearing my Adidas cause I liked the pops of gold that it added to the outfit and I wore a pair of clear frames just cause I've really been into them recently. I have to say though that I'm done with the snowstorms and the crazy wind chills and I'm really looking forward to some sun and warmth that's to come up in the next few months. x
