I went on this trip to Tanzania with my family in 2012 which was right after I graduated from high school. The first half of the trip was spent going on safaris through three national parks which were Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti. The amount of elephants that we saw in Tarangire was amazing and it was so beautiful but my favourite national park would have to be the Ngorongoro Crater. I've never seen anything quite like it and once you start descending into it, it's so magical. Almost makes you feel like you're driving on to the Lion King set! We saw pretty much every animal you'd expect to see when you go on a safari in Africa in the crater. At one point, we even saw seven lions together that were trying to get under the jeeps for shade. I feel like I was so mind-blown by the crater that going into Serengeti national park after, I was a bit disappointed. We had quite an unlucky day and didn't see any lions, even around Pride Rock! We did manage to spot a few leopards resting in trees though which was exciting cause it was the first time on the trip that we had seen any.

The second half of the trip was spent in Zanzibar. Such a gorgeous Island where we could just relax for a few days. I loved how I could wear my harem pants there and not look out of place. One of the days we decided to go into the city where we saw Freddie Mercury's house! The whole trip was just so spectacular and being able to take pictures of the wildlife in the national parks was such an incredible experience that I will never forget. x
