I feel like I've been starting my last few posts by apologising about how irregular I've been but I have to this time cause this post is much more delayed than it should be. I actually really enjoyed watching most of the shows in Milan Fashion Week this time around. I especially loved the use of vibrant colours for the Fall/Winter season. Most of my top favourite looks were quite tailored and structured. The show that I was the most impressed with was definitely Salvatore Ferragamo. I thought a lot of the pieces from the runway were flattering for most body types and I really loved the colour schemes and the colour bocking they used in their outfits. x

Hi Everyone!
It's no surprise that I'm always partial to London Fashion Week but this time I loved it even more. Being a huge McQueen fan, I'm so glad that Sarah Burton brought the show back to London this season. The collection was the perfect combination of feminine and edgy and was definitely one of my favourites of the week. As always I thought the Burberry show was pretty great and loved most of the pieces I saw on the runway but this season of LFW, Topshop took the win for me. There's no look that I didn't like. In fact, I could see myself wearing every single one of them in the show. x

Hi Everyone!

First off, I want to apologise for how long it's taken me to make this post. I kept prolonging it as I was either busy with other work or I was travelling. I'm glad that I finally now have time to blog about my favourite looks from all the fashion weeks. I just have to say that I absolutely loved that Tom Ford decided not to show his AW16 collection this fashion week and is waiting to do so in September so that all the pieces can be made available in stores immediately after the show.

New York Fashion Week just keeps getting better and better for me. Not only did I have a hard time narrowing down my favourite looks from all the collections but I also had a hard time choosing my favourite shows. There were so many more designers that created collections which I thought were pretty amazing that I haven't shown in this post as it would have been never ending if I did. This time I was definitely more into the skirts and dresses I saw on the runway. My favourite would have to be the Ralph Lauren look I've shown above. Altuzarra was just amazing as always. I've always been a big fan of what they show during fashion week. Special shout out has to be made to Zac Posen for having so much diversity in the models he chose for the show. I thought his entire collection was pretty spectacular as well. Finally, I have to mention the Marc Jacobs show. I hope it wasn't just me that was getting McQueen vibes throughout the entire thing. Next up London Fashion Week! x  

All or Nothing

I've been pretty excited to show you all this post as it's my first ever beauty post! I've been wanting to do one for ages now but never really knew what exactly I wanted to put in it. I was recently invited to presentation with MAC cosmetics where Sonic Sarwate who's the Global Senior Artist for MAC in India showed us a few of the beauty trends for the upcoming Spring/Summer 2016 season. Since I love blogging about trends as much as I do about my personal style, I thought it would be great to incorporate what I learnt at the presentation into this post. I also received some products at the end that I experimented with to create looks of my own. 

MAC products I experimented with

I tried to create two looks with the Mac products; the first, with a bold lip and wing liner which is shown below. The second look consisted of extremely dramatic eyes and keeping the rest of the face natural. This look actually didn't turn out quite the way I wanted it to and is also the reason why there are no pictures up of it. The upcoming trends that I learnt about along with my adaptations of them are as follows:

Trend 1: Dramatic Eyes

New product range in MAC: Faerie Whispers

The first trend is all about the eyes. While focusing on the eye make-up, making the rest of the face quite natural is crucial otherwise it can get a bit too messy. The MAC 'Faerie Whispers' range is perfect for creating dramatic eyes yet keeping it quite elegant at the same time. Neutral shades aren't the only ones that can be used for this trend. Bright and bold colours can be used as well. The way in which the eyelashes are done can also have an impact on how the look comes out. Different colours of mascara can be used along with the way in which they are applied can both contribute into creating unique looks.

Trend 2: Bold Lips

This has to be my favourite make-up trend out of the lot. I'm obsessed with collecting lipsticks and I'm always looking for new shades to try on. I tend to wear a lot more colour on my lips than nude shades. From the regular collection, my favourite shades from MAC are 'Diva' and 'Smoked Purple'. They're both quite dark colours have a matte finish which I prefer much more than a glossy one. 

Trend 3: Natural Face

This trend doesn't need too much of an explanation. It's all about keeping the face extremely clean and simple. Though it doesn't look like it, a lot of products are actually used on the skin such as foundation, concealer, blush and bronzer but is done so in a way to make the skin look as natural as possible.  

Trend 4: Bright Colours

The final trend is all about bright colours. Whether they're used on the lips or the eyes or anywhere else on the face, it's definitely a way of making a bold statement and standing out. MAC's new 'Flamingo Park' product range has some great bright colours that can be used to create unique looks. I really hope that one day I'm brave enough to try this trend and see type of look I can come up with.

At the presentation, there was also the launch of the new Liquid lipsticks by MAC which I was the most obsessed with. I sadly didn't good enough pictures of them to put up but it was definitely my favourite of all the new products about to launch. The lipstick once dried has a matte finish and it's supposed to be quite long lasting. I can't wait to get my hands on a few of the shades. Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed this post.
